THE STORY
Shanta freed up a day and a half every month & grew 42% in a year.
Mark Shanta started Shanta Residential in Glasgow in 2015. By the time the portfolio hit 140 properties, the admin had become the ceiling.
Collecting, reconciling and paying out rents for around a third of the portfolio was taking the team the best part of a day and a half every month. The work that should have been going into growing the business was going into spreadsheets instead.
He switched to PayProp in August 2021.
PayProp automated the full rental payment cycle from the moment rent comes in through to landlord disbursement. The manual processing disappeared. Month-end that had taken days now took minutes. Processing 50 rents on the first of the month now takes between five and ten minutes.
In the 12 months that followed, the portfolio grew by 42%.
