The future of the property industry is digital, according to a survey of senior estate agents.

The Estate Agents of the Future Report, commissioned by Landmark Estate Agency Services, found that 77% of top industry professionals believe that buying and selling properties will be a completely paperless process by 2025. Almost three quarters think that this will cut down on the time that negotiators spend chasing sales updates.

But while agents looked forward to time savings for themselves, even more thought that their clients too would benefit from a more digital process: 83% agreed that getting more data up front would help homebuyers to make more informed decisions.

According to the expert participants in PayProp’s recent property industry roundtable, increasing transparency is one of this decade’s big challenges for agents. By embracing digital ways of working, sales and lettings professionals can built efficient, consistent processes that clients understand and trust.
